The Retirement Lifestyle You Have Been Looking For.......

The mission of Hoosier Village Retirement Center is to enhance the quality of life for older adults within a secure environment which supports their needs, values, interests, and independence while encouraging personal and spiritual development.

Hoosier Village Retirement Center is nestled in the northwest corner of Indianapolis, on 150 acres of beautiful grounds covered with pines and native hardwoods. It is a natural retreat that combines the comfort and pace of country living with the opportunities and amenities of the city nearby. Everywhere you look you see the rustic beauty of the native prairie and woodlands. Walking trails on tailored lawns lead to several private fishing ponds. Although the  Hoosier Village campus is in a natural setting, it is not isolated. Nearby there are many stores, restaurants, hospitals, and theaters, to which regular transportation is provided.

Truly a full service retirement community, Hoosier Village offers a myriad of choices in services and accommodations-  from spacious, three bedroom houses and large fully-equipped apartment homes, to efficient apartments homes with living assistance, dining service, and housekeeping services included in the monthly fee. There is also an on-site Health Center for round-the-clock nursing care and rehabilitative services, such as physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Community amenities such as public lounges activity rooms, dining rooms, exercise room, branch bank, library, gift shop, and beauty parlor are also available.

The Baptist Homes Tradition
Hoosier Village is a not-for-profit community operated by Baptist Homes of Indiana, Inc.  Hoosier Village welcomes residents on a strictly non-denominational basis.  Founded on the moral principles of the American Baptist denomination, it is from this religious heritage that our strong commitment to caring, quality, and integrity is derived. Today Baptist Homes owns and operates two other continuing care retirement communities: The Towne House in Ft. Wayne, IN. and the Four Seasons in Columbus, IN. Baptist Homes also manages two apartment complexes which provide subsidized housing for older adults and persons needing a specially designed unit: Crawford Manor in Indianapolis, IN. and The Villas Apartments in Columbus, IN.

Continuity of Staff
Hoosier Village is proud of its number of long term employees. We understand the value of retaining staff who will be here to serve you throughout the years.

Commitment to Excellence
Hoosier Village is proud to have been the first retirement center in the Indianapolis area to have earned national accreditation from the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, which is sponsored by the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. This prestigious designation is an endorsement of Hoosier Village's sound fiscal position, complete range of services, and superior quality of lifestyle.

Equal Housing Opportunity
Hoosier Village is pledged to the letter and spirit of the United States policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation. Hoosier Village encourages and supports an affirmative advertising and marketing program in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing for elderly because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, family status, or national origin.
